Glendive, Montana, July 18, 2014- Glendive Medical Center (GMC) recently received recognition as a national award winner in healthcare service quality for an award by Avatar Solutions. The award includes the Most Improved Exemplary Service in the Emergency Department. "Without the dedication of our Emergency Department staff, this recognition would not have been possible. We are committed to providing great patient experiences," Parker Powell, CEO, said.
Avatar Solutions is an international research and consulting group based in Florida and is a leader in measuring customer expectations in healthcare. Avatar's innovative survey methodology gives healthcare organizations the ability to identify and monitor patient expectations. Avatar also provides quality improvement training and consulting services, which it has done for over twenty years.
Avatar awards are presented to healthcare facilities that have an overall survey score that exceeds patient expectations for the past year. The score is based on three critical survey items that evaluate patient expectations about quality of care, reliability and customization before a patient's visit. "Avatar award winners show dedication to providing the excellent care experience that patients deserve," said Lynn Ehrmantraut, Senior Vice President of Performance Improvement at Avatar Solutions. "The awards indicate these organizations are listening and responding to patient feedback and committing to provide the best experience for each individual patient."
