GMC Physician Plans To Retire After 19 Years

Glendive, Montana, September 18, 2012 - - Glendive Medical Center (GMC) recently announced that Arthur Fink, DO, Hospitalist, plans to retire in the near future. "As part of his ongoing leadership, Dr. Fink has agreed to continue working until another Hospitalist is recruited," commented Scott A. Duke, CEO. 
Dr. Fink and his family moved to Glendive in 1994 where he began an Internal Medicine practice at Gabert Clinic. Over the years, his medical practice became quite successful. In addition to his outpatient practice, he provided coverage for the emergency room, inpatient and nursing homes. In October 2003, Dr. Fink became a GMC employed physician, and in August 2010, he closed his outpatient practice transitioning into and assisting GMC in establishing a Hospitalist program.
In addition, Dr. Fink has served on the GMC Board of Directors for 9 years, and has held medical staff leadership positions serving as Vice Chief of Staff for a number of years and Chief of Staff from 2007-2010. He was a member of the Montana Board of Medical Examiners from 2004-2012, and was President of the Board for two years. He has also served 15 years in the Montana Osteopathic Medical Association, and has been a member to the House of Delegates for 5 years.
