Glendive Medical Center and Billings Clinic formalize affiliation agreement

Billings, MT- Glendive Medical Center and Billings Clinic signed a formal affiliation agreement this week concluding a thorough process to structure a new governance arrangement between the two organizations. In the new affiliation, Billings Clinic will provide management services for Glendive Medical Center, and will assist with recruiting and employ the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Additionally, Billings Clinic will appoint two members of the governing board of Glendive Medical Center.
The affiliation agreement covers a wide spectrum of ways to collaborate that are intended to enhance patient care in Glendive and the surrounding area. Billings Clinic and Glendive Medical Center (GMC) will work jointly to recruit additional physicians to expand access and clinical services for the Glendive region.
"We are very excited about how this journey is resulting in a relationship with Billings Clinic that will help us continue to enhance medical services for our community," said Dave Linn, Chairman of the Glendive Medical Center Board of Directors.
Glendive Medical Center is a 25 bed critical access hospital with an integrated physician medical practice with 20 physicians and other providers. GMC also operates a 71 bed long term care center and a 13 unit assisted living facility. Additionally, GMC manages the VA's 80 bed long term care center in Glendive and provides home health and hospice services. GMC manages Prairie Community Hospital, a 22 bed hospital in Terry, Montana and provides supervision for the Physician Assistants at the Circle, Montana medical facility.
GMC joins nine other health care organizations in Montana and Wyoming that are affiliated with Billings Clinic which is based in Billings, Montana. Billings Clinic has affiliation relationships with Pioneer Medical Center in Big Timber, Colstrip Medical Center, North Big Horn Hospital in Lovell, Wyoming, Daniels Memorial Health Care in Scobey, Beartooth Billings Clinic in Red Lodge, Stillwater Billings Clinic in Columbus, Livingston HealthCare, Roundup Memorial Healthcare, and Sheridan Memorial HealthCare in Plentywood.
