Foundation Seeking Applicants For Scholarship

Glendive, Montana, February 18, 2015 - The Glendive Medical Center (GMC) Foundation is seeking applications for the MJB Nursing Scholarship, which will be awarded to a deserving student in July 2015. The award is for $1,000 and is intended for a registered nursing student or a student pursuing a degree in a medical profession. Candidates must be enrolled full-time and be in the second half of their program. Preference is given to those students working at GMC.

The MJB Scholarship was created in 2012 by an employee at GMC. This employee benefited from a scholarship for her nursing education, and she wanted to pay it forward with the creation of this nursing scholarship.

Students with a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale are encouraged to apply. The deadline for applications to be received is Wednesday, April 1. 

To apply, students may go to the GMC web site, and from the Foundation page complete the on-line application. Applicants are asked to write a 250 word essay on their motivation to enter the field of health care. In addition, the Foundation asks for three written references - these too may be completed on-line.
