Glendive Medical Center Continues to Accept Medicare

Glendive, Montana, May 31, 2019 – Glendive Medical Center (GMC) provided a mandated statement several weeks ago announcing a change in Home Health Services. Unfortunately, the statement that was provided to post to caused public confusion. In clarification of the statement, Glendive Medical Center would like to notify the public that they still accept Medicare. Glendive Medical Center is simply changing how the skilled nursing services through Home Health, soon to be Visiting Nurse Program, are billed under the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations.

“The same staff and skilled nursing and therapy services are available with reimbursement under Medicare B with the exception of home health aides, who are not allowed under these regulations. Home Health Aides will need to be paid privately,” stated Wendy Mintz, RN and Population Health Nurse Manager.
