Orthopedic Surgeon To Join Glendive Medical Center in June

Glendive, Montana, May 30, 2019 - Glendive Medical Center (GMC) is pleased to announce that Glendive native, Dr. Jean Basta will join the medical staff at GMC and Gabert Clinic. She will provide comprehensive Orthopedic Services and Surgeries in this region.
“I am looking forward to practicing at Glendive Medical Center,” states Dr. Basta. “Glendive is my hometown and I am excited to bring a wide range of services that will fill a significant need for orthopedic care for local patients”.
Dr. Basta grew up in Lindsay, Montana and received her undergraduate degree at Montana State University in Bozeman. She obtained her medical degree at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle and completed her orthopedic surgery residency program at the West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown in 2003. In August of 2003, she began her orthopedic surgery practice in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
She enjoys all facets of orthopedic surgery, especially trauma. The majority of her practice involves total joint replacements, fracture care, and sports medicine, but she has a special interest in hand, foot and ankle surgery as well. She will be practicing in Gabert Clinic and providing surgeries in GMC’s state-of-the-art surgery center. Her down-to-earth and straightforward approach to patient care has contributed to her success as an Orthopedic Surgeon in Cheyenne, Wyoming where she has practiced for nearly 16 years.

Dr. Basta and her husband Jim Temple enjoy attending or participating in various sporting events. She also enjoys sewing, woodworking, reading, crafting, and traveling in her spare time.
